Shhhh ! Dont say "climate change" out loud !

In a just world, the climate change deniers and the morons like Stalker who repeat their bullshit would be the ones who die in climate change-related disasters. That's not the case, though--innocent people have died and will die because of their evil stupidity.

HaHaHa - damn you are stupid!

At the very least they should be put at the end of the line when FEMA shows up with the bail out money.

Oh, Stalker and Boilerman would be knocking people over to get to the front of the line for the "free shit," make no mistake.

A personal note---I have two friends who used to live in Paradise, CA--until their house was destroyed. Despite being nice people, they were avid Trumpers--a strange contradiction. Most of the people in that town were Trumpers as well (it was an old fart haven). I think they shouldn't have accepted the FEMA money they received--after all, if you vote to ignore climate change, why should we bail you out when it comes and bites you on the ass?

Interestingly, the Camp fire was the third of three destructive wildfires that hit Paradise from 2014-2018. Temperatures have gradually been rising in the California Gold Rush country for some time now. The Camp fire happened in early November, and in prior years, it would already have rained several times by then.

So the same people who ran screaming downhill from the fire were probably tuned in to Rush Limbaugh, who was telling them that climate change was a liberal eco-Nazi hoax. The Camp fire was a tragedy, no doubt, but it also had a karmic element to it.

I find your "story" hard to believe, starting with "-I have two friends"

No one on this entire God's green earth gives a flying fuck what you do or don't believe.

You are of no importance whatsoever.

I care, and so do those who are presently laughing at what I truthfully posted.

Part of my state is having wintry mix tonight.

The rest of the state is having cold rain but no wintry mix.

Which part of the state is occupied by liberals, which part by conservatives?

There has to be a karmic element to this, according to Kevin.

Nope. I didn't say CAUSAL. Karma doesn't mean that when you do something wrong, that has direct causal consequences--it means that eventually, down the road, maybe much later, you get what you deserve.

People who slavish toe the Republican party line and deny climate change deserve to suffer its consequences, since they are indirectly responsible for it (by stifling efforts to mitigate it). That's rarely how things work, though, so I've been kind of happy to see that for once, the ones who have been most affected by climate change are largely the same as those who have been howling that it's all a liberal hoax.

I do think that anyone who denies climate change because the fossil fuel industry pays them big bucks to lie about it deserves to have their house burn down or be flooded out. But that doesn't happen to the fat cat Republicans who eagerly lap up those bribes--it happens to their constituents.

Those, unfortunately, include both those who voted for Trump (who therefore don't deserve any sympathy) and those who didn't (who are unfortunate victims). My friends who used to live in Paradise--they were climate change deniers and Trump voters. I feel sorry that their house was destroyed, but I can only reflect that it was burned down because of something they constantly said was imaginary and a "hoax."
