As some of you know, I was in Vegas over the weekend. Apparently, the economy is doing well as I've never seen Fremont Street more crowded. It was flat out stacked.
I breakfasted at Eat (good), Therapy (good) and Carson Kitchen (fantastic once again). I won enough money to pay for my trip, with the exception of my $346 flight. Actually, after paying for airport parking, I returned to my house with $2 more than I left home with. I've been to Vegas some 70 times, and that puts my financials on this trip in the top 20%. As usual, we hung out in our Golden Nugget Spa Suite, which is just great. Most guys stay in stayed in standard rooms, but the suite is our hangout and it's fits our 15 guys without issue for football watching, etc.
We toured the Mob Museum, which was great but surprising expensive. $28 for a ticket, yet our group ticket price (10 minimum) was $18 per person, plus $10 per person for a guided tour. Expensive, but a good two-hour tour.
Since we're all Purdue grads, we watched the game in the suite. Purdue gave up 5 turnovers, and Nevada gave up none..............they beat us at the buzzer with a 57-yard field goal.......................and then depression set in.
