Shortbus Trio Boycott

I'll add that when David Miller actually starts a post that strings together a few sentences and a few thoughts - rare I know (and I don't usually check) - I think it's fine to respond to him.

Why? He NEVER wants to actually discuss anything. His SOLE goal is to scream at people, call them liars, and tell them they're destroying America. He thinks that Trump is president, Biden is dead, and every immigrant is an "illegal."

What can you possibly gain by engaging with him? As far as I'm concerned, he's forfeited that right until he cleans up his behavior. Let him argue with the neighbor dogs if he needs stimulation.

No. There were quite a few terms that I didn't use. So?

Vehicles, usually half or less the size of a regular school bus, had been created to transport children (or adults) with special needs (often developmental or physical) to Easter Seals or other special needs schools.   There were very few, if any, such schools back in my day, smaller in capacity, not a lot of special ed facilities, thus smaller capacity vehicles built for that purpose (and riders often required additional help/observation during the ride).   Later it became a 'joke' to refer to one riding the 'short bus', actually any shuttle vehicle used for different purposes, not necessarily special ed but suggestive of that as humorous.  Folks would even say about themselves "I rode the short bus today."  

Nobody thinks much of it, unless you are the parent or sibling of someone with 'special needs.'  Then it comes across as rather hurtful.  Like telling AIDS jokes or Alzheimer's jokes...funny unless you are dealing with either on a personal level.  Then you know...and it hurts.

     Candy - this whole "short bus" garbage was first utilized by P-athetic J-erk Stroh here in the Sink. He disparaged myself and others, thinking that he was being cute with this rude, hurtful term. He and his buddy Lying Lewis now throw this rude label at anyone they don't like who disagrees with their lies as a way to label them as being intellectually inept. These cretins are just plain assholes who have no concern about what and how they spew their insults - which is why they are held in such low regard.

I think pj & kevin rode the short bus to school, which is why they are so familiar with it

Candy, I agree, which is why I don't use the term anywhere else but in the Sink, because there, it specifically highlights the mentally deficient--or seemingly so, anyway--nature of the Shortbus Trio's arguments as well as their argumentative style. David Miller, for example, screams the same things over and over and over--just look at his most recent posts--like a toddler with ADHD who is angry that no one is paying attention to him. Tom posts endlessly about Biden, like someone with serious obsessive-compulsive disorder. Boilerman makes us fantasies about imaginary friends and argues against things no one ever said. And of course, there's the general mental deficiency of being a Trump lover.

But all you have to do is read Shortbus David's reaction to see why I use that term to refer to him. It annoys him, gins him up, yanks his chain, twists his panties, and makes him kick his Trump blow-up doll. And it highlights the nature of his general intellectual ineptitude HERE, which he does not display in other forums, except occasionally. Therefore, he chooses to put on the shortbus costume, which earns him the mockery I dish out to him.

You're right that we shouldn't mock those whose intellectual deficiencies aren't their own fault. The Shortbus Trio, though--they have only themselves, and perhaps Fox News, to blame.

What I said or didn't say was much different depending whether I was on the job or not. Like most jobs.
