Should conservitards receive the benefits they've been railing against so vehemently?

How 'bout this. The noble conservitard RepubliQ doesn't want all that evil commie stuff like roads and education and medical care. FINE. 

No more infrastructure money pissed away in red states to make it easier for Goober to drive his car into a tree.

No more Medicare or Medicaid to help Ma Goober recover from the effects of her terbacky-chewin' habit.

No more free education. Only COMMIES do that. Clem already knows enough to work at his uncle's gas station.

And in return, red states won't have to pay federal income taxes!!! Deal???

No..that would render even more unrecoverable debt levels. 35T+ is enough. Instead, how about a Convention of States process..reign in the ineptness and inaction of both major parties and their tendencies to constantly overspend..and enact term limits as well; return some power to the people, etc. 

Neither alternative will ever happen...the deep state is too deep.

What would be your recommendations to reign in federal spending? 

Reduce the federal workforce by 10%

Reduce all other federal agency spending by 10% 

Cancel the inflation reduction act

End green car subsidies as well as other green subsidies. . 

Actually prosecute Medicare & Medicaid fraud instead of talking about it 

No benefits for illegals. 

How do you prosecute more fraud on Medicare when you cut the prosecutors workforce by 10% ?  How do you secure the border when you reduce the border patrol by 10%?

It is done by better allocating resources.

Instead of having border agents waving people thru, they turn them away.  In stead of processing paper have the agents actually at the border.  Since there would be less illegal crossers, all the paper expediters could be let go.

By hiring more investigators there would be less people needed to process the fraudelent claims.  Fraudulent claims depending on the program range from 7% to 16%. Then there is the additional savings from no longer paying for all these false claims.

The problem is when politicians look at this they all start with the premise that taxes won't be raised on high earners or corporations. The reality is you have to go were the money is. 

Just raise income taxes on the high earners and inact a minium or floor rate on corporate income taxes. Then have real enforcement where these folks are going to prison for a few years instead of paying a fine that is often less than the taxes owed. Simple math solves the problem.

Curious and this is a question for anybody.  What should the top tax rate be for the high earners?  

Look at historical income tax rates for guidance.  The top bracket was still 50% after Reagan passed his tax cuts. From the 1930s to the late 1980s, there wasn't a top marginal tax rate below 50% and at times it was over 90%.  

Right now the wealthy in this country are benefiting from historically low tax rates at the expense of the rest of us.
