Should I be worried about MAGAs On The Plane?

I am departing for Vegas in eight days should I be worried about violent MAGAs on the plane? Apparently, it triggers the MAGAs when they show up for their flight and find out they have to wear a mask. 

A woman aboard a JetBlue flight from the Dominican Republic to New York faces $32,750 in fines after refusing to wear a mask, throwing food and an empty bottle of alcohol into the air, and shouting obscenities at crew members...

Flight attendants asked the man repeatedly to wear a mask while the plane was at the gate and as it taxied to the runway, but officials said he refused. The plane returned to the gate and the man was removed from the flight...

In January, the FAA announced that it would take more aggressive action against passengers who refused to follow crew members’ instructions on commercial aircraft. The special order, signed by FAA Administrator Steve Dickson, followed several in-flight disturbances linked to the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol. The program, which was set to expire in March, was extended indefinitely.

FAA officials said this week that they have received more than 1,300 complaints about unruly passengers since February and are investigating at least 260 cases in which passengers did not comply with orders. At a hearing Wednesday, acting TSA administrator Darby LaJoye said the agency had received 2,000 reports of people refusing to follow the requirement, the vast majority of which involved people on airplanes.

When are white conservatives going to take responsibility for the toxic conservative culture that glorifies violent behavior?

They gladly take responsibility, as in, they take credit for it. Don't forget, conservatism is old-white-boy-with-beer-gut thinking. GUNZ! White people should rule! Pickup trucks flying Confederate flags! They're proud of their Neanderthal beliefs and attitudes. Violence is the answer to everything. If you don't want to follow the rules, you don't have to, and you're entitled to assault anyone who tries to take away your FREEDUMB.

And at the same time, they're whiny little crybabies. Wear a mask? WAAAAAAAH! The rough, tough Manly MAGA Men can't tolerate it, even though a five-year-old child can.

Our country will not survive them. There are too many, and they defile and tear apart everything they touch, including our democracy. Just look at what they're trying to do now to destroy it.

Mark, you should definitely cancel.  In addition to "white conservatives" doing all the glorifying of violent behavior, you will also likely have crying babies (they are probably from white conservative parents), ladies seated nearby who are doused with perfume (probably white conservative, supporting the cosmetic industry), morbidly obese seatmates (white conservative--never waste food) who spill over into your own seat, small children seated behind you who kick your seatback (parents no doubt are white conservative), passengers in front of you who recline their seats into your space (definitely white conservative), and more.  And right now the airlines aren't even serving alcohol to numb our pain.  Lots of reasons not to fly.

Only if you can book a "liberals only" flight should you consider air travel anywhere.  Your life may be in danger.  But if you to make the trip (two flights, ya know), good luck!

Clearly unruly conservative MAGA Republicans.

If someone's not wearing a mask, and is screaming loudly about it and starting a fight to boot, there's about an eight-to-one chance (based on polling re mask compliance over the last few months) that that person is a conservative/Republican/Trumper. As far as being White--there are very few Black or Latino Republicans. Or more broadly speaking, if someone's acting like an asshole, it's overwhelmingly likely that they're a conservative, especially if they're complaining that the rules don't apply to them, and especially if they're resisting violently.

And y'know what, Candy? A "liberals only" flight would be much more pleasant, as would a "liberals only" country. Conservatism has mutated into a treasonous, false-premise-based bizarro version of its former self. I don't want to be near, let alone associate with, all the people who support treason and RepubliQ nonsense. I think Biden won the election. I think it should be made easier, not more difficult, for people to vote. Et cetera.

I live in a zip code that went 91% for Biden. People are nice to each other here. People don't use their car horns, and they open doors for each other. There's courtesy and respect. I'm happy here, not because everyone thinks the way I do (they most emphatically don't), but because people act, talk, and think like human beings. I've lived in conservative areas before (some, also in Oregon). Rest assured, those people are much nastier.

Of course, for every person like me, there's some old white guy in the pits of Kentucky or Kansas who is surrounded by gun-fondling, inbred racists like himself and is in hog heaven (figuratively or literally). They meet at the local bar and fantasize aloud about shootin' them uppity Black folks. It's jovial and convivial!

The New York Times recently opined that the US is becoming so polarized that we're all going to coalesce into liberal and conservative cities/counties/states. That's fine by me. I don't want to live among Trumpers (past and future), traitors, gun lovers, and assholes. And I'm sure they don't want to live among us snowflake LIBBURULS with all our talk of human rights, social justice, environmental stewardship, and all that other nonsense.

I just hope that it all gets resolved relatively peacefully, with the US splitting into Trump Land and Decent Person Land, rather than by a bloody civil war. If the latter happens, we'll wipe out the Trumpers, because while they may have all the GUNZ, we have all the smart people.

In the meantime, all we can do is train to defend ourselves against violent MAGA no-maskers while aboard a plane. Maybe there's some martial art that can employ barf bags and stale pretzels.

I stopped trying to watch it after I got a pillow commercial that I couldn't stop and played cheesy music. I counted EIGHT pop-up videos that appeared in various portions of my screen, overlapping each other. I never managed to view the actual "news" story. This was obviously a very credible and respectable "news" source, har de har har.

But you know what? I didn't really need to. As I've said before, not all violent assholes are Republicans--just the vast majority. I don't really care about the identity or politics of people in one isolated incident. The point Mark is trying to make is that RepubliQ violent insurrectionism has made these incidents much more prevalent than they would otherwise be. When mask resistance becomes a symbol of MAGA loyalty, or manhood, or something, you're going to have violence. It's what the MAGA crowd does.

Yeah, I expect crying babies, old women that smell like French whores, fatsos, kids kicking my chair back and so on. What I don't expect is an old white guy deciding now is the time to make his stand against the "oppression" of having to wear a mask and causing the flight to get delayed or return to the terminal.  All because geriatric Jerry watched Tucker the night before and is having a bout of "Foxitis".

Did you know "Foxitis" is now being used as a legal defense? 

Well, I think all of our resident Tucker Carlson viewers would agree at the very least we should have some kind of Profiling being done at the checkin gates.   After all, they've supported that measure to single out "Muslim looking" people so as to avoid a terror attack.

But somehow I get the feeling  they dont support people with MAGA hats  being segregated from the rest of the population at the airport security line.  JUst a feeling.

No Fox anything on my TV watch list.  Or CNN for that matter.  

And, FWIW Mark, I was writing in jest (which I guess I'm not very good at--should have added an LOL). 

I've flown at least a half dozen times (X 2 of course, RT) since the shutdown (and reopening) and haven't seen any behavior like you are concerned about.   I've seen the 'reports' and videos on Internet and in what some call reputable publications, but witnessed none.   No troublemakers on any flight.  I wouldn't know the political makeup of other passengers.
