Sleepy Joe

i think history is going to view Biden's tenure just fine.

Huge Infrastructure, lowered drug prices, COVID economic recovery, supply chain recovery, record amount of time inflation was tamed....and restored good relations with our foreign partners after Trump made America a laughing stock and chummy with autocrats.

I'm happy to vote for him again.

So you admit that there are better candidates for President than Biden?  Who would these be, pray tell?  We need to find these people and they should be running for the Presidency instead of what we've had.

My post was more about the fact that it's a shame that the United States can't do better than either of these two guys as the leader of the Executive Branch of the Government.

I don't need to "admit" the patently obvious. There has been no time in the history of the US that the person who became President was the best possible candidate for the job. Or elsewhere, the best king, or czar, or prime minister, or chief.

Who would I pick? My choices were Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigleg. Maybe Amy Klobuchar. But really, what I would do is take a gigantic poll of every American citizen who is eligible for the office by law, and ask them one question: would they like to be President? Then hold a lottery of all the persons who said "no." The winner would have to serve a four-year term and would not be eligible for reelection. I'll bet that would turn out better most of the time.

The reason why we don't have better choices is the horrifying proportion of the citizenry who actually buy all the MAGA shit, don't believe in objective reality, and have fallen head over heels for Trump's cons. Really, in a rational society, he should be a fringe cult leader with maybe 200 followers nationwide. Collectively, we're STOOOOPID.

And Democrats are continually playing defense against all the moronic bullshit he and his acolytes continually gin up. There's also the gigantic debate over what should the purpose of the American government be: to make its citizens' lives better or to increase shareholder value? Incredibly, there are millions of American citizens who actually want the latter and not the former. So our candidates for office are chosen on their anti-Trumpness more than fitness for office per se.

We'll have much better candidates in about fifty years if we abort more potential Republicans.

Thanks for the response, Kevin, and for providing a few people you see as good potential candidates.

Well, it's what I would like, not what we're actually gonna see. At least, not this time around.

Who would you like to see?

After hiding most of the week, sleepy resurfaced today in North Carolina.  Ever notice now that he rarely travels more than 2 hours & stays in the same time zone.

Anyway, here he is thinking he had his picture taken with a congresswoman who wasn't there

President Biden raised eyebrows Thursday when he appeared to confuse a woman with whom he took a photo for a Democrat North Carolina congresswoman who wasn't in attendance. "I want to mention Congresswoman Deborah Ross, where's Deborah?" Biden asked the audience in North Carolina during a Thursday speech. "I just had my picture taken with her, that’s probably why she left,"

Biden continued, sparking a laugh from the crowd. "Oh, she couldn't be here, actually," Biden continued. "That's not true. I got it mixed up.

The big question for tomorrow is what time will he be going to the beach tomorrow?

For stupid Tommie-poo, every day is Bitch About Biden Day.

77-year-old Trump confused a picture of his rape accuser, E. Jean Carol, for his ex-wife, Marla Trump. On the other hand, President Biden didn't recognize a particular member of the House (there are 435 of them).

tom, you need to take the L on this one.

It is a fair criticism of Biden.  He does something like this weekly.

Plus I like when Tom flies in with one of these "Sleepy Joe" updates.  I always get a good chuckle from them.

Frankly, I doubt that any individual in any line of work could instantly recognize and name four hundred and thirty-five colleagues who work in a completely separate building and who change up substantially every two years. And yes, politicians are supposed to remember names and faces. But guess what, sports fans---Trump never bothered to learn anyone's name who wasn't on his gold-star ass-kissers list.

If you actually like Tom's continual, tiresome Bleat About Biden posts, you're in luck. He literally does nothing else with his sad, little life.
