But barring any unforeseen circumstances, President Biden will again become the Democratic nominee simply because he has the best chance of beating Trump. Maybe you don't remember, but in 2020 Biden was too old and didn't have all that many fans either, it was just that everyone felt he had the best chance. That is virtually the only criterion for many Democrats.

 

Besides, when it comes to winning the presidency the power of incumbency is incredible. In about the past 90 years, only three presidents have been denied when they ran for re-election. Fortunately, Trump was one of them.
