How does it "encourage" visitation to dangerous countries? They still went through hell, and the rescue money wasn't paid to them. That's like saying being kidnapped and held for ransom is encouraging.
The US does and should act to rescue its citizens--even if they've done something they shouldn't have. I guess stupid Tommie-poo would similarly campaign against the rescue of people stuck on mountaintops, hiking trails, sinking boats, etc. because they shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Bright people know what Iran will do with this money. That is funding terrorism, and advancing their nuclear weapons program. We saved 5 in return for thousands of deaths...and that assumes that they don't detonate a nuclear weapon.
