Sleepy releasing $5 billion for 3 US prisoners in Iran is a mistake

We trade billions & really bad guys for people

You realize some of these folks that go over there are really US spies sent by the US government?

They might be, but trading thousands for one is not a good deal.

tRump released 5000 Taliban for nothing.

Try harder, Cliff.

Bright people know what Iran will do with this money.  That is funding terrorism, and advancing their nuclear weapons program.  We saved 5 in return for thousands of deaths...and that assumes that they don't detonate a nuclear weapon.

What right did we have to keep their money?

And let's not forget what Putin is doing with the billions Trump sent him.

Bright people read and understand the nature of the deal instead of making things up.

Iran's money access

"As part of the deal, Iran gets access to nearly $6 billion of its oil revenues that have been frozen in a South Korean bank. That money was transferred to accounts in Qatar, and U.S. officials say it will be monitored to make sure it's used just for humanitarian needs — food, agricultural products, medicine and medical devises — that are not subject to U.S. sanctions."

Um, because they sponsor and pay for terrorism.

And when Iran violates the agreement, like they always do, they will still have th misoney and will be using it to sponsor terror and to advance the radical government's nuclear program.  Only bad things will come from this.

No - thats why its in a Qatar bank instead of one in Tehran.  It can be frozen there just like it was before.   And it can be monitored as the article said.

And here's afun fact....when you are paying somebody with their own money you really arent paying them.    So when right wingers  say we "paid" 6 billion dollars for five hostages - well they are lying almost as badly as when they say they won the election in 2020.   Almost.

Too bad tRump pushed the radical Iranian government back into their nuclear program, huh Cliff?

Iran never stopped its program.  Inspectors were either limited or banned from most of the sites.  No suprise visits, they had to give notice when they were coming.  This was so Iran could hide their program.

The $6b will be used for their terror program, because the iranians have always lied and broken all their agreements.
