Publicly holding the people accountable for the Jan 6 coup is a HUGE no-no if you are a Republican politician hoping for relection. That speaks to the disposition of their voters more than anything else. The politicians think there are more pro-coup constituents than anti-coup constiuents. And they're probably right.
Kudos to the micro-scopic group of Republicans who aren't cowards: Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, and even Mitch McConnell.

Well, that's just another symptom of the existence of the 75 million. That many people vote for an awful scumbag con man--twice--and it's not surprising that the same bunch thinks that a violent assault on the Capitol was perfectly OK.
I don't have a lot of hope for our future, not when a third of the citizenry is stupid enough to fall for a con man and amoral enough to support violently murdering those who oppose him.
