Guilty people don't testify at their own trials, as their lawyers continually advise.
Also, the reek of Trump's farts would antagonize the judge.
Guilt or innocense has no bearing on whether somebody testifies. Very few people do.
True, but very few people repeatedly brag at the start of their trial that they are going to testify. He over promised and failed to deliver.
Trump's defense was horrible and it was because Trump tied his attorney's hands with his claim this never happened. The focus of the defense should have been yeah, I did this but my intenet made it a misdemeanor not a felony.
His only hope is that there is someone on the jury that has a belief system similar to David.
And if he gets convicted, I suspect he will get prison time. His bad behavior in the courtroom can and should be a factor in his sentencing.

Actually, attorneys advise their clients not to testify because most clients are in fact guilty, and being placed under oath would hurt, not help them. If an attorney knows his client is guilty--as surely Trump's attorney does--then that advice would be redoubled.

While we are talking of cowards; considering we have the transcript, why won't biden release the audio of Hur's deposition? Is biden afraid the truth will come out on his senility?
