Still no impeachment vote? Yawn.
Still no impeachment vote? Yawn.
Why rush it? Every day is like Christmas morning new whistleblowers are coming forward, Trump commits new crimes on national television and the only guy that will go on TV to defend him is Denny Hastert's apprentice. Conservative tears taste so sweet.
It's not even the crimes any more. It's the comically frantic efforts to cover them up. Trump and his lackeys are like the Keystone Kops at this point.
The Republican rats are beginning to abandon Trump's sinking ship. A lot of them are thinking about life after Trump and trying to figure out a way to not get thrown out on their asses after him.
Some woman--I forget her name--used to be a construction supervisor for Trump and said in an interview that she think's he'll resign rather than be impeached. I doubt it--his lackeys and Rudy the Rat have probably told him that if he resigns, he can be prosecuted as a common criminal.
I would dearly like to see Trumpism declared a felony. We could identify them, lock them up, and ship them out to--hey, I just thought of a reason we should buy Greenland after all! It could be a Trumper dump, just like England sent all its criminals to Australia. Plenty of room.

Poor old DonDiego finds the idea of criminalization of a political viewpoint and deportation for those with whom The Government disagrees politically, despicable.
But DonDiego is not at all surprised that Kevin Lewis would support "The State" imprisoning/deporting Its (and His) Enemies.
History is replete with "The State" imprisoning/deporting selected citizens for political reasons. More often than not many of the citizens not selected supported the idea. But, ofttimes those who joined in the process lived to regret supporting the removal of those "criminals" designated "political enemies". Especially those who later found themselves designated "political enemies".
Sometimes the Activities of the State even went beyond physical removal of the Enemies of the State.
But maybe it'll all end well in this case. Maybe.
P.S. DonDiego is glad that Kevin Lewis revealed his political goals so openly; one never knows exactly with whom one might find oneself chatting on-line nowadays.
I do cling to the antiquated notion that treason is a crime. Being a Trumper is treason.
And while I was being tongue-in-cheek (obviously!), my political goal is indeed to help, in whatever way I can, to marginalize and reduce the influence of the Republican party in general, and Trumpers in particular. I would like to see Trumpism socially equated with, oh, say, pedophilia--and considered abhorrent by all good people (as is already the case to some extent).
DonDiego, in an attempt to craft a personal attack (albeit in a much more civilized fashion than most of the other Trumpers here), mischaracterizes my goals. I do not want to see MY enemies imprisoned and deported. I do not want to see the enemies of the state imprisoned and deported. I want to see the enemies of my country deported---those who shit on and defile everything that is good about America: 1. Trump 2. Trumpers 3. All those who enable Trump.
DonDiego is uncertain concerning the sincerity of Kevin Lewis's explanation of being "tongue-in-cheek". He persists in calling for deportation of: the enemies of my country .
[Poor old DonDiego is compelled to include a glossary within this post, as certain words do have legitimate meanings:
"state" : a nation or territory considered as an organized political community under one government.
"country" : a nation with its own government, occupying a particular territory.
[n.b. "state" and "country" are essentially identical]
"treason" : the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government.
"felony" : a crime, typically one involving violence, regarded as more serious than a misdemeanor, and usually punishable by imprisonment for more than one year or by death.]
In his explanation of 10:48 am, 7 October Kevin Lewis explains:
" I do cling to the antiquated notion that treason is a crime. Being a Trumper is treason. "
DonDiego opines that treason is, indeed, a crime.
If Kevin Lewis states that this means DonDiego, who voted for President Trump, should therefore be deported as an "enemy of the country" , poor old DonDiego, at a minimum requests that he be granted a trial to determine:
i. if poor old DonDiego has, in fact, shat on and defiled everything that is good about America.
ii.if "shitting and defiling everything that is good about America" is sufficiently serious as to be deemed a felony
iii. if being a Trumper is sufficiently serious to be deemed a felony/treason independent of whether one has defiled everything that is good about America.
(For the record:
i.__ although by most measures an old man, DonDiego has not had sufficient time to shit and defile everything that is good about America. In any case, he has not done so in the past, he is not so engaged now, and he has no intention of doing so in the future
ii.__poor old DonDiego opines that "shitting and defiling everything that is good about America" is not, in fact, a crime - let alone a felony
iii.__ poor old DonDiego opines that "being a Trumper" is not, equivalent to "shitting and defiling everything that is good about America" and, in fact, is not a crime of treason. )
*For the record poor old DonDiego hasn't conducted any "personal attacks" with regard to this discussion. He addresses nothing more than what is written. Sometimes what he reads comes across as pretty whacky.
*If something looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, . . . it might just be a duck.
And if someone acts stupid, and talks stupid and posts stupid, he just might be stuck on stupid.

Yes, fritz, you are indeed stupid--because you are unable to make any coherent argument about anything other than calling those who disagree with you stupid. You have nothing else to say and don't know how.
To clarify for you--you're not stupid because you disagree with me; you're stupid because you're inarticulate and illogical. Your evil beliefs and support for a traitor are not in and of themselves stupid. However, your stupidity is frosting on that cake.
DonDiego does not think he is a traitor.
Many people who actively participated in the destruction of their country, at many times over thousands of years, did not believe their actions were treasonous, either.
I am also well aware that revolutionaries, for causes good and bad, and whether or not they were successful, have always been called traitors by the government in power. Therefore, I do not consider those who advocate making changes to the government of the US traitors.
What I do call treason is subverting the ideals and values of our country. Inciting race hatred and stigmatizing marginalized groups--as Trump has done--is contrary to "all men are created equal." Disregarding and violating the law--as Trump has done--is contrary to our system of laws and rules. Committing espionage, extortion, and bribery while in office--as Trump has done--is contrary to the security of our country as well as common decency, and is a gross abuse of power.
And yes, anyone who still supports that man after all this time and all his horrible acts is shitting on this country and defiling everything that is good, and I despise him/her for that.
Time for the inevitable name-calling from our Trumper-holes.
