I am happy to absorb Stalker's punishing (LOL!) rhetorical blows. When he's at his keyboard, he's not out on the streets, stalking anyone else. Who knows how many crimes I may already have prevented?
Looks like the Republican defense of Trump has evolved yet again. They are no longer claiming Trump was just joking. Today it is yeah, it was really bad what Trump did but there in no need to impeach him as there is an election just around the corner.
That argument would only have weight if he was going to lose anyway. That's likely, yeah, but far from a given. Also, impeachment could have him out of office by early next year, avoiding any one of a number of horrible scenarios for 2020, such as, say, his nuclear attack on California or his canceling of Medicare.
What you're reporting is in line with my predictions about Republicans jumping ship. No one's willing to commit political seppuku by supporting that asshole any longer. They'll abandon Trump faster than they abandoned Nixon in 1975.
Of course, our Trumpers will be slavishly loyal to the bitter end. Cue the same tired, stupid insults from them.

I would love to see trump supporters argue that 2 + 2 = 5, and as long as they say it's true, that's all that matters.......truth in the trump era is simply a fluid concept at this point. One thing I do know though, is that anyone who is an actual stable genius, has never had to say, on multiple occasions, they they are a stable genius.
