So Enjoyable to Watch

The "Sink" has become more enjoyable to read as President Trump, Elon Musk, DOGE and the Republicans expose the corrupt DemocRats. What is especially enjoyable is watching the these DemocRats throw tantrums as they lose their shit.  Seeing the asinine postings of Lying Lewis, PJ, Mark and the rest of the liars who post here as they try to defend what the DemocRats have done to America the past 4 years is comical - their postings will not alter or change the results of what is being found. The DemocRat Party is finished.

I thought this might be about today's Puppy Bowl.  Truly enjoyable as a run up to the 'big game.'  If you like dogs, tune in on Animal Planet.  Running most of the day today.

In general, the network programming before and after the game is a blast. There are always really good movies after the game, and a number of series save episodes that are particularly interesting/noteworthy/plot-important for then. After all, it's a great time to try to sell something: half of America ten pounds heavier, bloated, sitting in its lounge chairs, semi-conscious. Talk about a captive audience!

I've been watching a documentary about a Labrador retriever that works in an animal shelter as a therapy dog and calms down and makes friends with many of the freaked-out puppies and kittens that arrive. I'm not particularly a dog person, but if I ever got one, it would be a golden Lab. They seem so smart AND mellow. Definitely preferable to most people.

This is a wonderful series, all things dogs and animals in general.  So far I've seen one competition among Dashounds and a training episode.  Back home from church now and will watch it all afternoon.

One story in particular:

A well known female country star who loves animals set up a business in Nashville to support dog rescues and adoptions, pet supplies at reasonable cost, more.  The big thing is that she hires older teens who have 'aged-out' of foster care and haven't been adopted.  They often have no 'home' to go to.  She trains the teens how to care for the dogs, feeding, bathing, training and more, all the while paying them, enabling them to learn skills, save money, develop self-esteem, etc.  It was a beautiful thing to see.

I'm back home now and will watch these episodes until they end.

I'm recording the Puppy Bowl.  I'll watch some of it because I love puppies and dogs.

I understand that several state prisons throughout the country run animal shelters and/or participate in animal care--not always pets, and sometimes livestock, such as horses. The idea is to teach inmates marketable skills so they can get along in the world when they're released.

One such program in Wyoming was canceled because it was labeled by conservatives in the legislature (I don't think they have any who aren't) as "wasteful spending"--even though the cost was minimal and the tangible benefit was trained horses and a workforce ready and eager to care for them on ranches--because some state Republiclown said that "no rancher would ever hire a convicted criminal." But most places in the US have more brains than Wyoming.
