The Turd has just violated the ceasefire by attacking and sinking several Iranian vessels. Iran says it won't be bullied into one-sided peace negotiations and says it has no interest in further meetings. Oil prices soared to $113 a barrel. Diesel is now $2 per gallon more than it was in February.

Trump appeared at some idiotic yay-Turd event and dismissed all those concerns, saying that the war was won, fuel price spikes mean nothing and are temporary, and he's been the greatest boon to the American consumer since the invention of the wheel. He also described Medicare and Medicaid as "medicrap" and said he was planning on defunding both programs.

Oh, and "affordability" is a liberal hoax, he repeated.

Actual price of diesel - prices on Feb 23, 2026, ranged from  (\$3.49\) on the Gulf Coast to (\$4.46\) on the West Coast. By late April, national averages were exceeding  (\$5\) per gallon.  The price for oil will drop and currently is a temporary condition that the oil companies are taking advantage of as they make record profits at the expense of consumers.
