So when do you think Trump is going to file bankruptcy?

I'm not an expert on Florida law, but in most States the value of the homestead exemption cannot be impaired by a lien. That is why Florida is a desirable location for those thinking they're gonna have to file bankruptcy.

Right--it can't be included in a bankruptcy proceeding. But others can place a lien on the property if they have a judgment against him. That would be completely separate from the bankruptcy proceeding. It would have to be a judgment reached in a state other than Florida

Besides, here's a tasty tidbit--as Trump has continually referred to Mar El Asshole as a business asset and has said he lives in NYC, his creditors can challenge the homestead exemption.

If he he files bankruptcy, they cannot attach a lien to his property.

I don't think it's a complete shield. But consider--if he files for bankruptcy and hides at Mar El Asshole, then he can't generate any revenue from the property without it being seized. He won't be able to pay his staff and lackeys, so no more hiding classified documents, and he'll have to mow the lawn himself and Melania will have to cook his meals.

(Or she will bolt out of there like a rabbit once she learns that he's worth $0.)
