Social Security running out of money

You hear this all the time, but I've never heard any politician say foreign aid is running out of funding.

You would need to understand how Social Security is set up to understand the difference.

Foreign aid, i.e. money to their keep their kings happy so they keep our "king" happy, is more at the top of the list than taking care of us old geezers.  I say that knowing that helping citizens of other countries is important if sent in the direction of true need, but who can know which direction it goes in, for real?  I'm aware of actual charities that encounter severe restrictions on what goods/aid countries' rulers will allow into their country to address their citizens' poverty, starvation, etc.  I'm told there is a lot of waste in that regard...goods sent, goods rejected or kept by the rulers, especially money.

See the tiny little wedge below that is "Department of State and other International Programs"?    Its the one that says 1.46%.    Thats the cost of all our emabassies, overseas staff......and foreign aid.     Foreign AID isnt even big enough to have its own piece.  They are fraction of one of the other tiny pieces.   

Every cycle Republicans have some big plan (grift)  to rescue AMerica's debt problem.    See DOGE for the latest embarrassing example.   Foreign Aid was one of DOGE's highest priorities in tackling America's debt problem.   And the entire FOX News audience clapped their hands.    Good thing the Republican base is not graph literate.

Here's another fun fact.  Our population is not growing via procreation.    Birth rates are at all time lows.

Our population has been growing for only one reason:   immigration.

Keeping Social Secuity solvent requires a growing population of younger people to pay into the system taking care of the older people.    When those two populations inverse you have big trouble with your retirement programs.   See Japan for the last 30 years.    And also the result of China's one child program.

Its a free country.   Take whatever opinion you want about limiting immigration in the US.    But its impact on the entitlement programs isnt up for debate.

Both legal and illegal immigrants contribute to Social Security, etc. The MAGA myth is that ILLEGULS all work under the table or that they live off government benefits. That's ridiculous.
