Socialism - the REAL story

The real story and Facebook go together like Tim Tebow and the NFL.

If that had been a story by the Washington Post Mark would be praising it.

Two things that Stalker and other Trumper/conservative morons continue to fail to understand:

1. Bernie Sanders does NOT advocate socialism. He advocates democratic socialism. If you don't want to educate yourself about the difference, or if you'd rather just sneer at it, fine, but they are two entirely different societal/governmental approaches.

2. We already have many elements of socialism in our society, and if Stalker or any other Trump idiot has ever used a public road, crossed a bridge that didn't have a toll, attended a public school, visited a public park, or collected workman's compensation, unemployment insurance, Medicare or Medicaid, or Social Security benefits, that person has benefited from SOOOOOOOCIALISM. SOOOOOOOOOOCIALISM!!!! EEEEEK!

I have yet to hear or read a cogent argument why socialism is such a terrible thing. I think that part of the lingering fear was that the Evil Empire called itself the Union of Soviet SOOOOOOCIALIST Republics...but none of the former Reaganites understand that the Soviet Union was never a socialist country. It was a communist distatorship.

Medicare, medicaid, SS are all bankrupt, with trillions in unfunded liabilities.  Urban public schools such as NYC are a disaster.  People have choices in education with charter & private school options, which would not be allowed in a socialist society. 

Socialist controls of the economy have never worked. 

Socialism works and is funded fine when its administrated by competent people.    See Scandanavia as a great example.

But Republicans pass an unfunded drug program in Medicare while telling the Pharma companies to name their own price on those drugs....and Republicans crash the economy so our interest rates and SS get nothing.   And they pass tax plans that allow the wealthiest people to pay the smallest tax rate - and not contribute to SS.

Republicasn sabotage our safety nets and then they bitch about how those programs aren't paid for.   But then again they do the same thing in the general budget too.    The moral of the story is you cant trust Republicans with your money.

Oh..and just a reminder.    Dick Cheney famously said "deficits dont matter" during his administration's reign.

And now we have this from the current president...

Who the hell cares about the budget ?!?!

Republicans dont even try to hide their irresponsible approach to money when they have power.

And If history is any guide, the next Democrat who succeeds this clusterfuck  will fall vicitim to criticism from people like Tom who will blame all of this mess on food stamps.

Democrats had their chance recently to cut spending but they chose to increase it. 

scandanavia has huge taxes to pay for their social programs, which are nowhere near as generous as what the democrats are proposing. 

They are going to increase taxes in order to handle the increased costs of those programs. 

Is pj willing to pay north of 39% income taxes, plus a VAT tax?

Those countries don't have socialist economies which is what you guys want. 

Which gets back to my point that socialist economies don't work. Their less than 2% growth rate shows their tax structure hinders their economy.
