LOL, Yes Bernie wants the USA to look like Venezuela not Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, France, England and Canada. Ironically, Republicans want this country to look like Communist China with pesants that are forced to work in the "capitalist" factories.
All countries with less than 1% GDP growth
France? Really? Mark wants to emulate France. Lol, be careful what you wish for. Be very careful.

My friend works for a Norgegian company, and it's interesting how much they love a transfer to the US. They love it because they get to keep much more of their income.
We have a president right now who is subsidizing soy bean farmers 4.7 BILLION dollars
while instituting the most aggessive tariffs and protectionist trade policy in 100 years. And he's personally made threats to companies that planned shifting workforces. You cant buy a Ford Focus in this country anymore because Trump has picked winners and losers in the Auto Industry.
In other words - he's doing very "Socialist" things. But because he's a Republican our resident FOX News junkies dont have a problem with it....or make desperate comparisons to bannana republics in South America.
(BTW - I dont object to any of the above policies. Probably the only thing I like about the Trump administration......)
I dont identify as a "Socialist" or any "ist" for that matter....and neither did our founding fathers which is why they did not assign an "ist" to our economy.
But for people who are brave enough to look at industrialized nations (and not bannana republics) one thing is very clear: The American Dream is much more easily achieved in Socialist Europe than it is in America. Even our evil neighbors to the north see more than twice as many of their impoverished people make it to the middle class.....

A chart with some vague numbers, no date & no context.
The fact are that Europe's economy has been growing at less than 1% for a while, while the US is growing at 3%.
A list of non-vague, dated, contexted articles that validate my vague, undated chart with no context.
The Economist
Forbes
Brookings
And they will show you the same chart.
I, for one, feel that if PJ is unsatisified with his amount of "social mobility" he has here in the U.S., he can always move to one of the nations on this list.
