PJ, I don't believe that a person who's been able bodied his entire life should be anything free, and that includes medical care when sick. That's your idea, not mine.
You, being an old white man with outdated ideas, think that someone who is "able-bodied" never needs any kind of assistance. "Able-bodied" people quite often lose their earning power, through any one of a number of unfortunate events (it's called LIFE), and frequently, those events persist for a long enough time to deplete a person's savings or other resources.
I think it would be karmic justice if your house burned down, you needed expensive surgery, you crashed your car, or maybe the company you worked for went out of business and you went through all of your available resources--and then you asked for help, and everybody told you to fuck off. You say "I would never need help, because I'm a self-sufficient manly man and so noble that I can always fend for myself no matter what." To that I say: bullshit!
You have this idiotic vision that just because YOU'VE been lucky, anyone else who hasn't been as lucky is a lazy bum and deserves no assistance. That's cruel, selfish, stupid, and just plain wrong. You're a horrible person and your lack of charity and compassion is absolutely disgusting.
