Soon to be

Once a great city, soon to be downtown San Francisco, a liberal stronghold-

Collectivism is a poverty generator, an attack on human dignity, and a destroyer of individual rights.

LOL David you crack me up. Large parts of MAGA country currently resemble third world countries with open sewers, dirt roads and dirty drinking water. You need to move to rural Alabama, Mississippi, West Virginia or Kentucky so you can live the lifestyle of a hardcore Trump supporter.

Apparently you think what is happening in San Francisco is funny. I don't. Your ultra liberal DemocRatic government in California is responsible for the current homeless problem there. The current status in the rural states you list has been that way for many, many decades - San Francisco's and other California cities current plight has been the direct result of the last 20 years of DemocRatic rule - with no remedy in sight. Make light of this as you may, but these facts speak for themselves no matter how you try to cloud the issue.

I'd say it is a success problem. All those jobs in the tech sector led to a huge increase in real estate prices making housing unaffordable for a lot of people.

You do make an interesting point. Conservatives have ignored the problems of their most fervent supporters for many many decades. They are content to let their supporters drive on dirt roads, drink dirty water and shit in their backyards. You would think a problem that has gone for many many decades would be a priority for conservatives since it is largely their voters that are living in third world Merica. Instead, they want to take their voters' Social Security, Medicaid and Food Stamps away making their lives even more miserable. Oh, yeah they are also too busying complaining about liberal California's more recent problems caused by the large tech corporations that thrive under liberal governance to do anything about their own voters' very real and dire circumstances.

This is an advanced concept far, far beyond Stalker's comprehension: if Condition A exists, and so does Condition B, that does not mean that A caused B, or vice versa.

This can also be stated as "correlation does not equal causation."

I could play the same game by pointing out, say, the horrific rate of gun deaths in Republican-controlled cities. But that would prove nothing.

The primary reasons for the high rate of homelessness in San Francisco are:

1. As Mark said, very high housing costs, due to the fact that the city is very affluent.

2. A lack of housing due to the city being bounded on three sides by water--no room to build new housing.

3. The climate. It virtually never snows and rarely freezes, nor does it get very hot. It's possible to live on the streets year-round and not die of exposure.

4. The affluence of the city does enable the provision of services to the homeless.

And I know Stalker will just bleat something about "lying liberals" and crap out insults from his primary orifice, but the fact of the matter is that homelessness is a problem in virtually every major American city, whether Democratic or Republican-led, that has a tolerable climate.

Yet another reason why the homeless problem exists in San Francisco in particular is that it's always been a tolerant city. Tolerance is something that absolutely terrifies Stalker and his ilk. But it's part of the social fabric of SFO, and it means that they don't just round up everyone and force them to leave.

I also would like to point out the hypocrisy of slashing food stamps, Medicare, and Social Security in order to give biliionaires more swag and pay for Da Wall and The Bigly Space Force (etc.), and then bitching when cutting those lifelines results in more homeless people.

All of your smokescreen bullshit does not change today's reality - California's ultra liberal DemocRatic policies have set their state on the socialistic road to ruin. And that is the reality. If your stated reasons were factual, the whole nation would have the same problems that California has, and to the same degree. Both of you are full of shit and you refuse to accept reality. All you have are lame excuses and lies.

Yep. Stalker lacks the intellect to respond to any of the facts I pointed out. He persists in the Trumptard fantasy that liberalism=homelessness. What a pathetic sap.

Yeah. California is the wealthiest and most productive state in the US. It would be the world's eighth largest economy if it were a country. It's on the road to ruin, all right.

Stalker likes to call his Con Trumper bullshit "the truth," "the facts," and "reality." If what he was saying actually was the truth, he wouldn't need to prop it up by screaming, "DIS IS DA TROOT!" over and over and over.

Stalker also doesn't understand the difference between socialism and social democracy. California has the latter. There are actually very few purely socialist countries or places in the world.

San francisco estimates that they have 8,000 homeless. By their own count over 4,000 are drug addicts.  Home prices are irrelevant. Another kevin/mark fantasy blows up

Next time you see a bridge get built in David MIller's zipcode be sure to thank a taxpayer from 3rd World California who paid for it.

Oh - and uh - I'm not sure what you say to people who brag about Trump's economy while having fun with the "out of control homeless population" in its context.    Maybe its best to just point and laugh.

Anybody who says "home prices are irrelevant" when discussing homelessness is displaying ignorance on a basic level. It's like saying that the weather has nothing to do with the fact that it's cold outside.
