Oh - and uh - I'm not sure what you say to people who brag about Trump's economy while having fun with the "out of control homeless population" in its context.    Maybe its best to just point and laugh.

The wonderful so-called "Trump economy" is actually the Obama economy. Trump has made vigorous efforts to fuck it up. Obama first had to heal the wounds from eight years of Republican misrule.

The effects of an administration's economic policies can take up to five years to be felt. Thus, in 2021, we'll start to feel the effects of the transition from the Obama economy to the Trump economy. God help us.

And yeah, PJ, Trumptards howl about California while lapping up all the tax revenue the state provides the federal government. Tucky Buckford and Clem Cornpone aren't even grateful, though, when the money taken out of some snowflake liberal's paycheck helps them get medical care or food--or pays to repair that road that was washed out.

If the economy was as wonderful as Trumpers say it is, there wouldn't be homeless people at all. Everyone would have a mansion to live in and there would be spontaneous demonstations everywhere, people dancing and singing Trump songs. The hypocrisy is hilarious. "The economy is bigly wonderful!" "Well, then, why are there so many homeless people?" "It's the Democrats' fault!" So give Trump credit for everything that's going right but don't assign him any fault for everything that's going wrong--good Trumpers! Sit, boy! Roll over!

Where did you get that info from?

The state of the economy has nothing to do with drug addicted homeless as drug addicts make lousy employees.

I'm not sure where your obsession with drug addiction comes from. Personal experience, perhaps?

Drug overdose moratlity rate by state

California ranks near the bottom - which is to say they have much fewer drug deaths than most states per capita:   11.7 deaths / 100k people

Appalachia has much bigger problems (by a factor of 5):  West Virgnia  57.8 overdoses / 100k people

I could be a douche like Tom and David and demagogue Appalachia based upon  Tom/David's chosen metrics....but I'm not a douche.

Probably runs in his family.

Of course the economy is Obama's.

To the extent that it "belongs" to any President at all, yes indeedy. As in, it is in part a result of his actions, like those he took to pull us out of the Dubya recession. Trump's tariffs and trade wars "belong" to him, but we haven't felt their full effects yet, as the continuing Obama economy is covering Trump's ass for the time being.

Yes. You could easily say that Republican leadership causes five times as many drug deaths as Democratic leadership.

Of course, if you said that, you would be making the same idiotic correlation/causation error that our Trumpers are making and don't even realize.

In all seriousness, there are many societal reasons for drug overdoses, but the common factor seems to be poor socioeconomic and living conditions. In places like (yecch) West Virginia and Kentucky, medical care ranges from poor to terrible (and would be even worse without Obamacare), which a) makes people in pain turn to opioids rather than less addictive treatments and b) causes a lack of treatment facilities for addiction.

You would think that the Trumper hillbilly states would realize that Trump/Republicans have been trying to kill their citizens by choking off their health care...but so far, the hate rallies are still well attended.
