The US defense department has had weapons in orbit as far back as the 1970's.

The cost of which pales in comparison to creating an entire new branch of the military. Future wars aren't going to be fought in space, they are going to be fought in cyberspace. Jusk ask Putin if you don't believe me.

I'm just a little concerned Mike Pence might be biting off more than he can chew. Perhaps he should start by studying the basics of evolution before taking on advanced topics like space travel.
