Spanked

The Kansas City Chiefs got spanked and humiliated - man, did they!  Mahomes is no Brady and Andy Reed is no Belichick - both got a taste of reality as the Eagles beat the Chiefs and the refs today. The ending score was no real indication as to the dominance of the Eagles - the Chiefs scored the majority of their points in garbage time as the game was essentally over in the 3rd quarter. This loss stopped any talk of the Chiefs being a dynasty and of Mahomes being the GOAT. The Chiefs got to the Super Bowl by being in a weaker division, barely winning several games only because of questional officiating by the refs. They beat/won against Buffalo because of the same type of questional calls in their playoff game with Buffalo - and every honest person knows that. That being said, I did not watch the game - I just read the online recap. All that is left is for the winning betters to collect their winnings, the losers to whine and complain, the talking head sportcasters to disect and critique the game while mouthing off about who should have done what. I imagine that the city of Philadelphia will be on alert as the "fans" burn/tear the city apart in their joyous rapture. Meanwhile the "fans" who attended the game are now wondering if the experience was really worth what they paid...

It was embarrassing to watch.  I didn't have a favorite.  At first it looked like an exciting game would happen.  IMHO the Eagles eased up on the Chiefs a little in the last few minutes of the game to let them score a few points.  They could have made it a shut out.  Did the Chiefs not have a back up quarterback to send in when it looked like Mahomes had nothing that night?   Did I hear one of the commentators say the Chiefs didn't complete a first down until the third quarter?  It looked like the air went out of the Chiefs' tires after Eagles scored quickly in first quarter.  JMHO.

Candy, what you observed was pretty common, in any professional game where the total points scored doesn't matter. The Eagles didn't need to prevent KC from scoring at that point; they just needed to make sure that they didn't score quickly. Also, yes, there is an element of sportsmanship involved.

I think the psychological crusher was Mahomes' really ghastly interception that made the game 17-0. Up to that point (as the announcers noted), things hadn't gotten out of hand, given that KC had been down 10-0 in each of their previous Super Bowl wins. They probably still thought they could win.

Nope - read the internet synopsis. Either way, what I posted is 100% true.

What you posted was a bunch of biased opinions, which you of course elevated to the status of ONE HUNNERT PERCENT ABSOLOOT TROOTY TROOT, as you always do.

KC won two of the last three Super Bowls. Did the Eagles do that?

Though there are ways to get around an aggressive pash-rushing defense. You can call screen plays, draws, and quick check-downs. AND...you can just switch to running the ball! Andy Reid called ONE running play out of the first, what was it, twelve? The other guys' pass defense will always be so much better if they KNOW you're going to throw on every down!

Who won yesterday? Did the Chiefs?

Reid is no Belichick - never was never will be. Chiefs were out coached, and out played. The refs got the word after the first quarter bulshit call and were notified that the Chiefs check bounced.
