We now know the reason why she delayed for a month. 

The pens were on back order 

Actually, the reason was that Moscow Mitch announced that there would be no actual trial (no witnesses), and that he would be both the presiding judge and the primary defense counsel.

She delayed in order to be able to call out those Republican senators who are perfectly OK with Mitch's anti-constitutional farce, and to give them a chance (which a few of them seized) to utter a few murmured words of dissent.

 She delayed because the Senate is going to go by the same guidelines that pencil neck Schiff went by - and she does not think that was right. Typical lying liberal- do as I say, not as I do.
