Starbucks anti bias training (or whatever it's called)

Now you're backpeddling.

The objection in this thread was to workforce education regarding prejudice and bias.    Was Dunkin Donuts wrong for adressing their workforce in the wake of an ignorant episode involving police?    Or is it only a problem when it involves people FOX News deems to be political opponents

Nobody is backpeddling.  Only Starbucks closed their operations to handle an overblown problem.  Nobody closed their entire operations to re-educate their employees on how to treat the police.

The preferred liberal group of liberals (blacks) turns into a national crisis, while the multiple cases of liberals unpreferred group (police) is ignored.

OK - so the objection expressed on this thread has officially changed.  There is no issue with corporations educating their workforce on prejudice and bias.   There is only objection to management choosing to close the stores.

Thanks for stopping by.

Looks like Starbucks will have to close again for a day.

"My friend Sam who is a stutterer stuttered on his name when ordering a coffee at Starbucks. The barista said, “Okay, S-s-s-sam”. When he received his coffee, he was shocked to see that his name on the cup was written as “SSSAM”, which was disrespectful. Later that day, he wrote an email to Starbucks Customer Service and got a pretty standardized email"

I read this yesterday and wondered if anybody was going to post it. I do believe a Starbucks VP has since contacted stuttering Sam.

I am offended at the price of coffee at Starbucks - I expect an apology and free Starbucks forever....

Word has it Howard SHultz never makes a move at Starbucks without Tom and David's input on how to run his mega-billion dollar business.
