State The Union

It sounds more like a Nuremberg Rally. Lots of brown people hate and saying he won't allow evil socialism in US healthcare.  I guess that means he is eliminating Medicare? He also performed analingus on Rush Limbaugh who was in attendance.

A heaping helping of forced birtherism.

Forced prayer in public schools.

We knew this would be nothing but Trump praising himself and all his lackeys clapping and cheering. Tomorrow, we get the tweetstorm that he's been "EXONERATED!"

He promised millions of Americans that their healthcare would be taken away, but he hasn't quite managed that. His noble fight will continue, though!

It made me very happy to hear that Rush Limbaugh is dying. I hope it's slow and painful and that he receives the quality medical care that Trump wants to deny everyone, so that he lingers for months in a red cloud of pain.

Fuck him. And fuck Trump.

The address ended with shouts of Heil Trump by Republicans in attendance.

Will the torchlight parade be tonight? Maybe a lynching afterward? (Hosted by some very fine people.)

Sorry I missed it.   I was really planning on watching - but Turner Classic Movies was playing the academy award winning feature "FrankenHooker".

You are one set of ignorant bastards. I am thrilled that you morons are unhappy. GFY's

And the economy roars on.  Just wait until the new and suddenly fair trade deals kick in and the economy roars even more loudly.

1) True, the Obama economy is still in operation. Sorry to tell you, but there is a five-year time lag between economic policies and their ultimate effects.

2) The economy isn't that wonderful for the bottom 99%. Wage growth is stagnant, which means that inflation chips away at the average person's earning power. And yeah, unemployment is low--because everyone has a job at Starbucks or WalMart. Meanwhile, a LOT of people are struggling to pay the rent.

3) The farmers and other workers who have been ass-fucked by Trump's trade wars and tariffs are still hurting (not that they won't vote for Trump anyway).

The economy should not be the sole reason to vote for or not to vote for a President, anyway. His actions, his demeanor, his integrity or lack thereof, and how well he governs should also matter. For instance, Trump's foreign policy has been awful, and I can list at least ten countries that weren't our enemies before but are now--as well as dozens of countries that were our friends but aren't any longer.

I should also point out that Trump's destruction of environmental safeguards is having and will have terrible effects on the economy--when people sicken and die from exposure to chemicals, or are killed in natural disasters. But that'll be down the road, so Trump doesn't care. You should, though!
