Okay so if you agree 100% with the message could you please clarify what is meant by "Twenty is too young to drink a beer, but eighteen is old enough to vote"  or at least clarify what you agree with about it.

Is it just a stated fact that you agree with? Or is it suggesting that one or both of those things should change?

 Are you that obtuse?

I guess I must be.

So could you please explain it to me? I am asking genuinely. Do you feel the drinking age is is too high? Do you feel the voting age is too low? I gave you my opinion please share yours.

My God - it is comparing the absurdity of allowing people 18 to vote but not allowing these same people the right to drink alcohol til the age of 20. The point is - if people are old enough to vote , then they should also be old enough to drink alcohol. Comprehende?

Thank you for the clarification. I would agree with that sentiment. It is essentially saying that the drinking age should be lowered.

That may have seemed obvious to you but if you think about it there are multiple ways to interpret that statement.

It appeared to me that the author was saying  "we don't even let these people drink alcohol why should they be allowed to vote?"

So would I be correct in presuming that you would be in support of lowering the drinking age to 18?

Actually I would support the VOTING age to be increased to 21.

But you would be disenfranchised, because you're only twelve years old, mentally.

Oh, and you should be aware, Millerscum, that such a change would really hurt MAGA.

Wow, now David is misspelling Spanish words! He's branching out!

Voting and drinking alcohol are NOT comparable. The former cannot pose a danger to anyone. The latter can. That's why one must be older to drink than to vote.

Duh!

And that sir, is exactly what I was trying to determine. I suspected you meant that but I didn't want to presume without clarifying. I would not support raising the voting age.

If the voting age was 21 we would have a situation where 18 was too young to drink or vote but one could be drafted into military service. To remedy this absurdity would you be supportive of increasing the drafting age to 21?
