Trump was actually more lucid than in most of his recent public appearances. During his recent "press briefings" and hate rallies, he has acted and sounded like he'd been repeatedly bonked on the head.
I think that's why his campaign stooges flooded the interblab with conspiracy theory garbage about Biden's physical and mental fitness just before the debate. They were scared to death that Trump would have a senior moment, and they were preparing the time-honored false equivalence distraction argument (our glorious leader may have drooled on the podium and collapsed, but Sleepy Joe stammered!).
Unfortunately for his handlers, Trump didn't have a senior moment. He had dozens of Trump moments--far worse.
