Stopgap funding / CR on it's way

Well, absolutely, Mr CurlyCue CocoaPuff... there are govt spending items I wholeheartedly disagree with. For example...

-Dept. of Interior spending $12M on a Las Vegas pickleball complex;

-Health and Human Services (HHS) spending $2 M to study kids looking at Facebook food ads;

-HHS spending $419K to determine if lonely rats seek cocaine more than happy rats;

-Dept of Energy ( DOE) spent $15.5 B to push Americans toward EV's they apparently don't want right now based on poor overall sales figures;

-The Dept. of State (DOS)spent $4.8 M on Ukrainian social media influencers;

-The DOS  spent $3 M for "Girl-Centered Climate Change" in Brazil;

-American taxpayers are paying $892 B on our national debt interest alone in FY 2024;

-The Dept of Defense (DOD) spent $10 M on Orwellian cat experiments;

-The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) awarded the Bearded Ladies Cabaret a $10 K grant to support a cabaret show on ice skates focused on climate change;

-The DOS allocated $32.6 K for breakdancing;

-Improper Medicare payments totaling $25.6 B ;

-Earmarks 'add-on' appropriations bills; Democrats $12.4 B / Republicans $8.9 B ( both party's abuse is inexcusable)

There's much, much more..but that's some of the superficial dermis of it. If you search enough, I'll bet even you as a spendaholic liberal can find things you deem wasteful, fraudulent, and or useless. There's bound to be a jackass R senator / House rep that slated some money for something you can't stand..like ..conservative censorship remediation, perhaps? Who knows.

Yes, obviously, there is spending that each of us doesn't approve of. The MAGA rhetoric, however, is to rail against ALL government spending, as if it was intrinsically a bad thing. So you have the Elon Plan, which would slash Social Security and Medicare spending by 30%. Pure genius if you disapprove of government spending!!

I could even respect that POV if it was honest. However, it isn't. DA WALL would have cost $200 billion to build and $25 billion annually to patrol and maintain. That sounds like government spending to me--yet, MAGA enthusiastically supported it. Similarly, Trump's Holocaust II would cost over a trillion dollars--which would have to be paid for by...wait for it...government spending. Which would have to be financed by government borrowing. Which would generate more of those interest expenditures that you moan about.

When your gang dons its Party of Fiscal Responsibility tutu and pirouettes around on Fox Nooze, I don't know whether to laugh or throw up.

This is waasaay beyond Boiler's comprehension.

  What makes more sense is not having to borrow to pay for DemocRat overspending.

Borrowing makes perfect sense when it's inexpensive or free, as it has been for decades for the US government. And as I schooled Nines, "overspending" is MAGA-ese for "spending on things we don't like."

You oppose overspending? How do you feel about Trump's $1 trillion deportation plans? His $225 billion border DA WALL?
