My wife does Zumba, so she's familiar with the Spanish-language artists and listens to radio stations that play them. She liked it and knew 3 or 4 of the songs he sang. I thought it was entertaining, but not something I usually listen to.
I didn't watch any of the Kid Rock show, I used to listen to his Rock N Roll Jesus album when I was fishing on my boat in 2008. Maybe Rock N Roll Jesus is a Christian value? I haven't listened to him much since.
I saw that the viewership numbers for Kid Rock were around 5 million and for Bad Bunny were up to 135 million.
The "Christian Rock" subgenre artists are pretty awful. They want to broadcast their faith, primarily, so musicianship takes a back seat. Actually, it hides in the trunk.
Every Sunday morning, I listen to NPR, and to get there, I scroll through at least half a dozen God Squad stations. Some of them are playing Christian Rock. It must be a sizeable business.
