Tariff Man Strikes Again

I am sorry I wasn't clear. I was saying this agreement was a turd, but I like your interpretation better.

Lol, when the President wins re-election PJ and Mark will have to reach for a new level of hate.  I, for one, very much look forward to another half decade of their misery.  You two make my day, almost every day¡

Congressional democrats need to vote for funding the border wall. Nothing less only shows that they want people entering this country illegally.

Every study I have seen is that a border wall is the least effective means for keeping people from entering the country illegally.  It is a campaign slogan, not an effective policy, so it would be dumb to fund it.

Here is what has happened in El Paso.

Federal data show a far-less imposing wall than the one Trump envisions — a two-story corrugated metal fence first erected under the Bush administration — already has dramatically curtailed both illegal border crossings and crime in Texas’ sixth-largest city, which borders the high-crime Mexican city of Juarez.

In fact, the number of deportable illegal immigrants located by the US Border Patrol plummeted by more than 89 percent over the five-year period during which the controversial new fence was built, according to Homeland Security data. When the project first started in 2006, illegal crossings totaled 122,261, but by 2010, when the 131-mile fence was completed from one end of El Paso out into the New Mexico desert, immigrant crossings shrank to just 12,251.

Just watched a video on Fox news that showed the migrants simply going to the end of the fence and walking around.

Thank you for proving President Trump's point to extend the fence

That's' not the point. They will just walk around it no matter where the end is and if we build a fence all the way across, they will climb over, dig under, cut the fence or breach it in some other manner. The is why border experts say it is not an effective answer. In order for a wall to work, it would have to have overwatch along the entire length. That would require prison-yard style 24 hour staffed watchtowers every so many yards and the wall would have to be solid and wide enough to walk across the top for patrols.  We couldn't afford a wall like that as the costs would be astronomical.

Mark might not have noticed but the Mexican border on the east & west ends at rather large bodies of water.  Thus the goal of building a wall along the length of the border, except where the hostile desert makes crossings impossible.

The new fence is more difficult to climb; and very few people are capable of digging tunnels.  Cutting the new fence is also very difficult.  It won't be 100% effective but it will be significantly better.  It is like your home.  You can lock your doors & windows, but it won't be 100% effective, but it will make you safer.

Israel built a wall & have reduced illegal Palestinian crossings by 90%.   The wall in El Paso referenced above. reduced crossings by 89%.

Just tell the truth, mark & PJ are in favor of open borders.

The thinking of Mark, PJ and others are what is wrong in America.
