I thought conservatives have a big problem with their tax dollars paying for college .... but TEXAS just announced thats exactly what they will be doing going forward. Tennessee has already been doing it.
Did these states just get taken over by dem liberals? Or was the "paying for college" outrage just a whole lot of nothing?

Look, meathead, free college tuition is completely different from having tax payers pay for legal student loans that the brain dead Biden administration has cancelled. Free tuition is not new, when I got out of the Navy in 1971, California granted to everyone 2 years of free college tuition, which is still in effect. Your "paying for college" is a misleading statement - it should state "free tuition", not "paying for college".

It says its coming from the endowment and the Texas University Fund - the latter comes directly from the state treasury.
"Reimbursing someone for an expense" is different from "paying for their expense" according to David.

The loans forgiven by Biden were SUPPOSED to be forgiven--that was part of the contract the government and the borrowers signed. The Biden administration simply honored those contracts.
I can see how anyone who voted for a notorious con man and grifter might be confused by that.
