I viewed the clip - Cruz said that in a thought provoking, whimsical manner. Apparently there are some who just don't get it. Just another mountain made out of a mole hill by the media.

So you think that the image that Cancun Ted conjured up was ''thought provoking and whimsical''?

It was whimiscal - which is why everyone there laughed. They understood what Cruz was saying. As I said before, some people just don't get it.
Well, I do imagine that there are some folks who consider the image of a mouse having sex with a dog "whimsical"--and I hope to God I never find myself in the same room with such people.
Those of us who "just don't get it" consider Cruz's remarks to be stupid and crude, not thought-provoking and whimsical. And what thoughts, exactly, do his remarks provoke?
