Texan Who Took Private Jet To Participate In The Insurrection Doesn't Get She Is A Criminal

In a statement of facts, the feds say Ryan and others arrived by private plane from Denton to Washington D.C. and in a social media post made threats to storm the capitol and posted photos and video of her at the capitol during the riot involving a pro-Trump mob.

A video posted the day of the riot to her Facebook account shows her speaking in the mirror and stating "We're gonna go down and storm the Capitol. They’re down there right now and that's why we came and so that's what we are going to do. So wish me luck."

Later that day, Ryan posted a video of herself on Facebook marching to the Capitol. She subsequently tweeted a photo of herself in front of a broken window at the Capitol building, writing "Window at The capital [sic]. And if the news doesn’t stop lying about us we’re going to come after their studios next…"

Ryan spoke with FOX4 earlier in the week and said she didn’t think she would be taken into custody.

"I do not feel that I did anything wrong, in fact, I felt that I did something noble and I’m proud of being there," she said in a Wednesday interview.

Going from flying on a private plane to Federal Prison is going to be quite a lifestyle change for her. 

The good news for her is that she'll be perfectly able to continue feeling noble and proud as she sits in her prison cell.

Unless the rioters are all utterly brain-dead (which is certainly a possibility for many of them), they're perfectly aware that they all committed multiple serious felonies--murder and treason among them--and have a good chance of being prosecuted. Any statements they make to the contrary are just silly bravado at this point.

May they and all those who incited them rot.

Those of us who have been pointing to the radicalization of psychos like her and the rest of her ilk for the last four years were said to be suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome".     But then again the people who lableled us like that were the same people that told me I hated the troops because I oppossed the Iraq War.

Here is some insight for people who identify as Republican going forward.   The mainstream media is not perfect and they do sometimes make mistakes....but by and large they get it right most of the time.    Ignoring reporting from Reuters and the Associatted Press in favor of Breitbart and NewsMax is a one way ticket to crazy.     And thats where the GOP has landed today.    

It has been going on since the Bill Clinton days which coincides with the emergence of conservative talk radio. Then we moved into conservative cable news, conservative websites and finally conservative social media.  You now have generations of people that have grown up in the conservative media ecosystem or spent decades of their adult lives in it being conditioned not to believe anything the mainstream media tells them and that the only trustworthy sources of fact are conservative opinion personalities. 

For years Republican officeholders have parroted conspiracy theories that originate in right-wing opinion media like Birtherism, Benghazi, Hillary's emails and so on.  The only change Trump made was instead of blowing a dog whistle or simply winking and nodding like Republican politicians of the past he fully embraced the conspiracy theories including the more extreme ones. 

It should come as no surprise that we are left with millions of folks that are unable to understand the most basic facts and cling to beliefs in the most bizarre conspiracy theories.  Talk to some of these nuts. You will see they actually believe Trump won the election in a landslide.  The only surprise to me is that there are so many non-conservative people who persist in the belief that the Republican party itself is still a mainstream party whose candidates are worthy of consideration. 

The sad news is this mass psychosis is here to stay.  The next Republican Presidential nominee will be a sane version of Trump which is really scary.
