Texas Governor Secretly Recorded While Telling Other Politicians The Truth About Opening Up The State

"The lesser of two evils".refers to a binary choice, which isn't the case here. There's a third alternative: keep everyone safe while using the federal government's vast resources to cushion the economic blow.

And is it still the lesser of two evils if you're one of the "extra" deaths? Your spouse? Your parent?.Your sibling? Your child?

Or for that matter, Joe the local bus driver, or Sharon, the local nurse. Are you willing to sacrifice them?

We've already borrowed $17,000 for every working American to hand out during the virus.  Borrowing is not a resource.  Today's children will have to pay for this debt, or at minimum pay for the interest on this debt.  Between me and my two boys, that's $51,000.  Free shit isn't really free.

When the Trump tax of 2018 created a $2.3 trillion dollar deficit for today's kids to pay off in the future, I'm pretty sure you didn't make a peep.

You really, really, really, really, really love that stupid term, but no one ever said it was free, or that it wouldn't create debt.

I have to remind you, though, that you jumped up and down and cheered when your orange hero slashed taxes for his rich donor buddies and created a mountain of debt as a result.

In this case, creating debt is appropriate when it saves lives. And it does so by avoiding having people forced to make the choice between work and safety.

Telling 1 out of 5 fortune 500 companies they have no federal tax bill is the definition of "free shit" but that was never an issue for our current administration or their backers.

But lets be clear - today's children are not going to pay the US debt.  The FED will.   The FED could pay it all tomorrow simply by printing and introducing 20 trillion dollars into circulation.    Of course the value of a dollar would be more like a peso  - which is ultimately what is going to happen anyway.

We might even be able to absorb that, because the dollar is actually somewhat overpriced in global currency markets. Everyone wants dollar-based assets.

It is true that Boilerman's constant railing against "free shit" is both hypocritical and hilarious, given that he supports gigantic tax breaks for giant corporations. Give 100 bucks to a single mom to buy food and he pops like an overripe zit. But hand $2 billion in tax breaks to a corporation that made $10 billion last year? He has no problem with that whatsoever!

Conservatives are such fucking hypocrites.
