The ones "pulling" a stunt" are the DemocRATS. It is true that they are entitled to their salaries, but they will no longer have their checks deposited into their accounts - they will have to show up in person to get their checks.

The Republipigs cannot impose a requirement to collect pay in person. And if they somehow could--like maybe a royal decree from Abbott--they couldn't make that restriction apply only to Democrats.
