I'm sure you've heard. A woman's fetus was diagnosed as having a fatal condition--it will not survive birth. She tried to get permission to have an abortion. A lower court said she could. Notably, it was a district court judge in Austin. Then, the asshole RepubliQ MAGA tool state DA Ken Paxton stepped in and dragged the case up to the Texas Supreme Court, who ruled 9-0 that she couldn't have an abortion after all--hours after she said the hell with it and left the state to get an abortion. Of course, all nine judges are MAGAs.
The ruling was imposed so that when the woman returns to Texas, she can be punished--either by prosecution, or by civil suit--by Texas "law," ANYONE can sue ANY woman who gets an abortion.
Is all this sounding like "The Handmaid's Tale" to you, or maybe "1984"?
I know all the conservitard rhetoric is about calling a fetus (incorrectly) A PRESHUSS BAYBEE, but this fetus will never live to become one. AND, carrying it until it dies will endanger the woman's ability to bear future children. So if Texas wants PRESHUSS BAYBEES, why are they fucking up this woman's ability to have them?
