Thank God I live in Oregon

Our government and our people are going to protect womens' rights, our fantastic health care system, our stewardship of our magnificent environment, and the commitment to democratic norms and ideals. Donald Trump won't get to us here--he couldn't even find us on a map, and his orange rage is focused on California anyway.

Portland is a beautiful place with awesome people. Our residents MAGA who sneer at Portland do so out of envy. Y'all really should visit before Trump makes it illegal to do so. You'd be impressed by how nice everything looks and how pleasant and considerate the people are. And I say that not because of politics, but because of experience. It's just a much more pleasant place to be than most other locations and societal milieux.

As we did when Trump caused the nationwide spread of covid, we will accept refugees to the extent of our ability. After all, we won't have inflation here, as we'll make free trade deals with Canada, Mexico, and Asia, and our food prices will be dramatically lower than elsewhere, since unlike the rest of the country, we'll still have farm workers.

Come on over. We'll have some awesome craft beer waiting for you.

Even people like you are welcome here! And David...after they kill all the brown people, they just might come for you next!

‘The Humanitarian Crisis of Our Lifetime’

The complexity of the homelessness issue is apparent in its numbers. According to the 2023 Point in Time Count, thousands of people are living unsheltered on our streets. Overall homelessness in Portland increased by 65% from 2015 to 2023 (from 1,887 to 6,297 individuals).

Sounds like all liberal cities.  Terrible policies cause mass crisis.

Yep! Republican policies crippled our national economy. We had over a decade of almost no housing starts. Then the Trump pandemic hit.

You might want to take a second look at your "source's" calculations. The increase in their fabricated numbers is about 250 percent, not 65 percent. Anyone who is that bad at basic math has no business bleating about the supposed number of anything.

He never was President, and he's not going to be. He'll be the guy in the White House who stays up all night jerking off to Fox Nooze and scurries off to Florida every Friday morning.

He isn't going to be President, and most likely, isn't going to be alive for long.
