Bolton was either fired or quit his job. No matter it is extremely peculiar that we heard nothing of this until he is pushing a book!
does not matter if he testifies to what has been taken from his book. It is NOT an impeachable offense!

On what do you base that assertion? Your extensive legal knowledge, training, and expertise in constitutional law?

So what?
What does all that have to do with Trump stealing $391 million in taxpayer money to conduct an extortion scheme?
What does all that have to do with Trump's obstruction of Congress when they tried to investigate that scheme?
Those are the only two issues at hand--the two articles of impeachment. Anything else is just smoke blowing out of Moscow Mitch's ass.

Well the Trump defense is already floating the "Ukraine interfered in our election" conspiracy theory. So I suppose saying Joe Biden paid a bribe for his son's job is fair game too.
They dont call 'em "birthers" for nothin.
Even the Republicans know it's all bullshit (Tom seems not to). They're just trying to create a distraction.
Let's say just for a moment that Joe Biden paid Burisma eleventy squillion dollars to give Hunter Biden a job.
Is that against US law? No.
Does that have anything whatsoever with Trump using taxpayer funds to extort Ukraine? No.
Is there any proof whatsoever that Joe Biden did, in fact, bribe anybody? No.
Is Trump a fucking scumbag thief and traitor? YES.
I do believe that Alan Dershowitz constitutional law knowledge is quite extensive! Like, a lot more than yours.
i would certainly not claim to be an expert on law and you neither.
No one is suggesting that Senator Biden paid Burisma a bribe.
The suggested foul-play is that Burisma employed Joe Biden's son at a salary working out to about $One-million-per-year to serve as a member of the compny's executive board. i.e. Burisma was "buying Senator Biden's favor" by "employing" his son in exchange for any kindness Senator Biden could show them in return.

Boilerman suggested Joe Biden paid a bribe. And you have as much evidence for your suggestion as he does for his.
and pretending to believe nepotism is an unforgiving sin in the context of Jared Kushner leading or Middle East policy is..ah...ballsy? Funny? Take your pick.
in any event we have a state department, FBI, cia, and nsa to investigate federalcorruption by civilians. The presidents campaign lawyer and his two felonious associates are not members of any of those institutions....and according to EVERYONE who has testified in this trial their investigation was political.
of course the bone spur coward could tell his own story under oath instead tweeting u see his desk. Cross your fingers !

I also would not expect an objective assessment to come out of the mouth of a member of Trump's defense team--any more than I would expect a lawyer defending an accused murderer to point out the strengths of the state's case against his client.
I may not be a law expert, but I do know that much of what Dershowitz recently said in defense of Trump is complete bullshit. And you know what? He's being a good defense attorney when he does that. Trump can't be viably defended on the facts--so lying is all his defense team has.
I also don't have to be an expert on the law to know that it's an abuse of power for Trump to turn $391 million of taxpayer money into his own private slush fund. I don't have to be an expert on constitutional law to know that it's against the law for anyone--the President included--to obstruct and ignore Congressional subpoenas.
I also don't have to be any kind of expert to realize that Trump is a crooked, lying asshole who deserves to be thrown out of office. Too bad that being a wretched scumbag isn't in and of itself an impeachable offense.

The "i.e." part of your assertion is where your argument goes off the rails. You don't know if there was any such deal in place.
What you should know is that corporate board positions are often ceremonial and based on prestige rather than qualifications per se. That's nothing new, and no violation of any law, in Ukraine or here.
If you want to get panties-twisted about "foul play," get indignant about Baby Trump and Jared getting appointed to high-powered White House positions despite having no qualifications whatsoever, including the intelligence to get out of a paper bag. But that's OK, I guess, because the Orange Asshole did it.
