There Is A Mole In The Trump Administration...

...and he wrote an op-ed for the New York Times.

But we believe our first duty is to this country, and the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic.

That is why many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions while thwarting Mr. Trump’s more misguided impulses until he is out of office.

The root of the problem is the president’s amorality. Anyone who works with him knows he is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making.

In addition to his mass-marketing of the notion that the press is the “enemy of the people,” President Trump’s impulses are generally anti-trade and anti-democratic.

In public and in private, President Trump shows a preference for autocrats and dictators, such as President Vladimir Putin of Russia and North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, and displays little genuine appreciation for the ties that bind us to allied, like-minded nations.

Given the instability many witnessed, there were early whispers within the cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment, which would start a complex process for removing the president. But no one wanted to precipitate a constitutional crisis. So we will do what we can to steer the administration in the right direction until — one way or another — it’s over.

What I found interesting about the article is that the author and his cohorts seem to be just as lacking in morality as Trump. They serve a man that they know is unfit for office and an outright a danger to the country and its democratic institutions yet they rationalize it because they got their tax cuts.

There is a 25th ammendment brewing in the Trump Administration.

Dont count on the Republican Congress to idemand harings to nterview Trump's staff in the wake of this incident.    That would be the responsible thing to do.

25th amendment, under what grounds?

Whew !  Poor old DonDiego just checked, . . . . Hillary remains Not The President.  DonDiego thanks President Trump and the Republican Party.

The 25th Amendment

What the amendment spells out is a procedure by which members of the Cabinet can agree to notify Congress that they do not believe a president can carry out his or her duties. The officials could send a letter to Congress explaining why and, if Congress agrees by a two-thirds vote of both chambers, lawmakers could make the vice president "Acting President," under Section 4 of the 25th Amendment.

Ref: NPR

So,

1. the President's own Cabinet would have to notify Congress that the President cannot carry out his duties.

2. Congress would need to vote by a two-thirds majority of both chambers to replace President Trump with The new President Pence.

Hmm, . . . DonDiego will now make an astonishing prediction:

IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN ! ! !

DonDiego recommends those individfuals still, and possibly permanently, deranged by the defeat of Hillary  try another, preferably legal, way to remove The President if they must.

Whew !  Poor old DonDiego just checked, . . . . again.  Hillary remains Not The President.

The grounds that his own staff has observed.  He is unstable, amoral, reckless, mentally unraveling,  unable to focus and a danger to the republic.

It isn't the Democrats saying the 25th amendment needs to be invoked.  According to the article, it is the people in his cabinet and his staffers that think Trump for lack of better words is batshit crazy and have thought about invoking the 25th.  I think Don Diego may be surprised.  After the mid-terms when Republicans lose the house and the Muller report drops, I think the 25th and President Pence will look damn enticing to Republican officeholders. It would give them a more diplomatic way of getting rid of Trump without having to impeach him.

There is a reason Democratic leaders don't want to talk about impeaching Trump. The turnout of Democratic, Independent and Republicans that oppose Trump will be much higher in 2020 against a crazy Trump that is facing a mountain of criminal charges once he leaves office than it would be against squeaky clean Pence.

I just wanted to add the 25th also gives them a way to gloss over any Trump criminal misdeeds covered in the Muller report.  Instead of having to hop on the crazy train with Trump and saying yes, the FBI, lifelong Republicans and two Trump appointees Muller, Rosenstein, and Sessions are all part of some deep state conspiracy against Trump, they could simply say, yes, of course, Trump did that stuff, he was mentally ill and not responsible for his actions. Which also gives them cover to have Pence pardon Trump.

The very same anonymous source confirmed that Mark is unstable, amoral, reckless, mentally unraveling, unable to focus and a danger to this message board.  But Mark is as likely to drop as President Trump is.
