Personally, I would pay $495 in CA taxes to perform on stage with Green Day, The Who, or U2, as a few examples. I wonder if Darnold, if given the choice, would pay $197,000 to play in the Super Bowl?
With income disparity at record levels its good that we have MAGA (specifically Tom) looking out for those poor victims at the top end of the income scale.

Yet another stupidity of this Tom-shit is that Darnold spends 10-12 working days in California every year, since the Seahawks play one away game each at SF and LA. So additional working days in CA don't affect his taxes all that much.

It is a false premise. A very small part of the tax burden comes from his Super Bowl appearance. The majority of it comes from his 33+ million dollar salary. The whole bonus was never taxed. It was the totality of his income in California that was taxed not just the bonus.
Again your sympathy should be for the regular people like tradesmen that often work in several different states and have to fill out the state income tax form for every state they work in that has this type of tax (41 states) That is a truly unfair system. I like how Minnesota handles it with an income threshold.
