There's a Q for you !

The great state of Oregon has nominated a QaNon disciple as their Senate Repuiblican candidate in the upcoming election.       If you are not familiar with the QaNon group  they are a highly informed mass that gets information from an internet message board (like this one)  with posts coming from someone claiming to be a high level official with access to top secret, nefarious information about the government.

Q has reported among other things:

- The North Korea dictator is a puppet being controlled by the CIA

- Debbie Wassermun Schultz hired a drug cartel to kill Seth Rich

- School mass shootings are organized and carried out by the Deep State

- Hillary CLinton and George Soros administrate an international sex traffic ring

- COVID-19 can be cured by drinking dilluted bleach

Anyway - here she is.    Meet candidate Jo Rae Perkins.

"Hey, I’m following Q because I want to know, because if the Q team is real, I want to know about it,’” Perkins added in the same interview, in which she compared believing in Q to believing in Jesus Christ, as a matter of faith that transcends proof.

“Q is most likely military intelligence,” suggested Perkins in the interview, “and they've been out there watching what's been going on with our country for decades and they are partnered with President Trump to stop the corruption and to save our republic.”

AMEN!! What kind of cheap shit has she been smoking?? Maybe "Q" is code for coocoo.

Oregon is sharply divided along partisan lines. There are the modestly wealthy, educated, tech-savvy cities like Portland and Eugene, which are strongly liberal---and then the buck-toothed drooling mouth-breathing Trumpers in the rural counties.

The Republican counties are, naturally, much poorer than the Democratic counties. They are also much dumber. This means that Oregon Republicanism has a particularly unhinged quality to it. This is the state that gave the world Cliven Bundy and his gang of inbred yahoos.

So not at all surprised that they would nominate a female Rush Limbaugh as their candidate. Republicans in six rural counties have even been agitating to secede and join Idaho (the neo-Nazi hideout state). They don't want to have anything to do with them no-good LIBURRULS who are smarter, better people, and wealthier than them.

More demented bullshit from Kevin.

Talk about demented bullshit.

Boise is quickly becoming a satelite city of Silicon Valley.   Idaho wont be a red state in 10 years.    Neither will Arizona.

I've heard that about Boise. But Idaho is like Oregon in the dead, dead, dead-red nature of its rural counties. They are quite literally Trump Nazis there.

There's a lot of gun love in Idaho, and a lot of crazies festering in their backwoods cabins during the long winters. Idaho has some beautiful places---McCall, Sandpoint, Sun Valley---but mooooon doggies, them folks are unhinged.

There's an odd quirk in taxation in Idaho, in that sales tax is applied to food purchases in grocery stores. I believe it's the only state that does that. The reason, of course, that almost all states don't apply sales tax to groceries is that such a tax would be strongly regressive and would disproportionately affect the poor. But I guess Idahoans are too Republican to care about that sort of thing.

Kevin Lewis opines: "There's an odd quirk in taxation in Idaho, in that sales tax is applied to food purchases in grocery stores. I believe it's the only state that does that."

Not even close: Tax Foundation

I thank DonDiego for the information. It appears that Idaho is one of a few states that routinely tax the sale of staple, unprepared foodstuffs.

Those states, according to the article, are AL, HI, ID, KS, MI, OK, and SD. AR and UT tax groceries at a partial rate. All the abovementioned states, with the exception of HI, are extreme conservative Republican.

It appears that the fuck-the-poor ideology of Republicanism is alive and well in those states. Hawaii may be an exception because it imports much of its food.
