You have a real honesty problem. All of those events you cited occurred before the parties realigned because the Democrats were the Conservative Party back then. 

But thanks for reminding us of all the truly horrid things conservatives in this country have done. 

It's still a MAGA meme to look back 150+ years to when the Democrats were Southern conservatives and try to say that it's the same now.

I honestly don't know if he is simply dishonest or that dumb. You would think someone that posts numerous political threads every day (often about the same subject) would at least have a minimal understanding of political history.

The Dixie-crats switched parties after LBJ passed the Civil Rights act.   

Richard Nixon tapped into the switch which ultimately became known as the "Southern Strategy".      Cater to white supremicist dipshits who are still upset about the Civil War and ending slavery.     Alabama, MIssissippi, Arkansas, Louisiana were all solid Democrat states until that point....ever since they are the oppositte.

Republicans (and David MIller) now get the George Wallace crowd in their base.   Thats why David Duke votes for Trump and not Kamala Harris.

One interesting tidbit about those times is how skillfully Nixon tapped into Southern grievance, still fresh and blooming 100 years after the Civil War, that the North had done them dirty, gol durn it, and they should be rightfully independent. The last straw for the goobers was the Civil Rights Act and the ensuing legislation. Southerners then, AND AS NOW, were not thrilled with the concept of black people being human and having the same rights as real (white) folks. Nixon played them like a fiddle.

And of course, MAGA would dry up and blow away like a leaf on the wind if not for the persistent, cruel, and effective race hatred they continually spew.
