They have to get their shit together--oh, sorry, "feces"

As fun as it is to sit back and laugh at the RepubliQ's fumbling incompetence, this isn't good for anybody. Some pretty basic things, which have little to do with passing new legislation or anything like that, can't happen until the House is formally in session. And I'll bet they don't know about what rules might kick in if they emasculate themselves and the Senate takes over the House's authority, which they can do! because of contingencies such as, say, a terrorist attack or other calamity that makes the House unable to function.

The worst aspect of this is how it totally fucks up America's image. Legislators screaming and attacking each other on the floor of the chamber--well, that's banana republic stuff. As is being unable to form a functioning government because of factionalism.

The RepubliQ are learning--at long last--that kowtowing to the extremists and wackadoodles maybe wasn't such a good idea after all. After losing several elections in a row, that lesson may be sinking in. They're certainly learning how toxic those wackadoodles really are--to their own plans. They're not "owning the libs"--they're screwing themselves.

Hooray for Amurrica!

You have to believe that there are STILL some reasonable, REAL Republicans left that will side with the Dems to elect someone that won't put the crazies on Commitees or engage in frivolous investigations and just do the work that they were voted to do.

No way, sorry. The Democrats aren't going to vote for any Republican, and there's no way any Republican will vote for the Democratic pick. Consider who the Republican defectors are--the crazies. They may nor line up with the Republican "normals," but they sure as hell aren't going over to the other side.

Don't forget that the "party of small government" has shown in the past that it's perfectly happy with a non-operational government, in pursuit of their holy ideology. And "compromise" is a dirty word to them.
