Tough call, but this here LVA is social media enough.
But, in answer to Kevin's question, I get a few 'invasions' but most have some connection to something I ordered online.
Example: Sometimes I order cat food from Chewy, home delivery which is nice. After one order I got an email from "FedEx", telling me "So sorry, but your order has been lost. We want to compensate you..." which would involve me 'ordering' (with my cc of course) something through that email after which time I'd get a "prize" of some sort. It didn't sound right, and thankfully I didn't respond, 'cause it was a scam or spam or something. It was a FedEx scam, not Chewy, but amazing how just anything can set you up to be spied upon and tricked in some way.

I carry only liability auto insurance, because I've always driven older cars to their complete demise and didn't need collision. I haven't had an accident--or a claim--since 1980. As a result, my rates have been low. But when my previous car gave up the ghost, I bought another used car--with a salvage title. Older cars get those when they're in minor accidents, the insurance companies pay to buy the car rather than for its repair, and they sell the (usually perfectly functional) car at auction. I bought my present car that way, and dutifully informed my insurance company. They responded by increasing my rates by SIXTY PERCENT. I called them and asked them why they thought I was suddenly more likely to get in an accident. They said that their stats told them that salvage title vehicles are more likely to get into accidents. I said that was bullshit, and vehicles don't get into accidents-DRIVERS do. And my driving record is pristine.
So I went online shopping for better insurance. Big mistake. I was soon besieged by popups and spam emails promising 500 years of liability insurance for only sixty cents. I responded to a couple of those ads. Bigger mistake. None of those "companies" had anything decent to offer. I should have known.
I found out since that my premium increase was directly due to a shit move by Trump. Don't need to elaborate now.
Anyway, I get five or six emails every week promising me great auto insurance deals. Blocking them does no good--these spammers use hundreds of auto-generatec addresses.
Newer is not always better. There used to be such a thing as privacy. I think that part of the reason is that there is no mechanism set up to punish spammers.
