Thief at Walmart

Last night @ 7 PM I went to Walmart. After paying for my purchases and as I was leaving, a woman headed towards the exit pushing her cart and an alarm went off. The Walmart employee stationed there called out to her repeatedly, but she kept going and exited. I went out and heard the employee, who had come outside the store, call out to her again, to no avail. I looked back at him and he called me over. He said to me "She stole something".

And then....???  What's the point?

The point is that shoplifting is out of control & the govt won't protect us.  The paying customer gets penalized thru higher prices

Because of ONE shoplifting incident...which Millerscum and stupid Tommie-poo pretend has never happened before...shoplifting is "out of control"??

How is the government supposed to "protect us"? By stationing soldiers or cops inside every WalMart?

Shoplifting was common two thousand years ago. The Roman historian Pliny mentioned it. So was thievery in general. It's common now. Nothing new under the sun.

As usual, Lying Lewis has nothing positive to add - he just makes excuses for the liberal mentality that condones shop lifting as "nothing new" and should be accepted. Of course, this bastard has never owned a business and had to suffer from the losses business owners have to accept. Lying Lewis never offers a solution, only makes excuses.

Walgreens Executive Says Shoplifting Threat Was Overstated

In a call with investors on Thursday, the chief financial officer of Walgreens, James Kehoe, said “maybe we cried too much last year” over theft.

And...according to the National Retail Federation, "shrink," which also includes losses other than shoplifting, is around 1.4%

It's been around 1.4% for about the last ten years.

I set those Wal-Mart alarms off 2-3 times a year because the cashier doesn't deactivate the tags right.  My local Wal-Mart is too cheap to station anyone at the doors so I just keep on walking. It would be like hitting the lottery if they sent some poor chump out the door after me.
