Thieves Shocked to Learn Stealing is a Felony in California Now

Apparently it is OK to STEAL up to $400 worth of merchandise in California - Christ what a fucked up state. Three women allegedly stole over $600 in merchandise from Ulta Beauty in Seal Beach before being apprehended by police. Proposition 36, effective this week, allows theft over $400 to be charged as a felony, replacing the 2014 threshold of $950 for misdemeanor classification.The law, which went into effect this week, reverses the controversial policies established in 2014 that classified theft under $950 as a misdemeanor. Critics argue the leniency led to a surge in retail theft and emboldened criminals. The new law lowers the felony threshold to $400 and strengthens penalties for organized retail theft. “This proposition underscores our commitment to addressing organized retail theft,” the Seal Beach Police Department stated in their video’s caption, which featured clips of the suspects' arrest set to Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’.” Police highlighted the importance of protecting local businesses from financial harm. “Here in Seal Beach, we never believed in the cite and release program,” the department emphasized.-

Then we could take a look at one of the worst HIV outbreaks in the country that occurred under Mike Pence's watch.

We pay more for our health insurance, have higher deductibles and worse outcomes than any state adjacent to us.
