This 4th of July It Is Important To Remember...

... that we took the airports from the British in 1775.

“In June of 1775 the Continental Congress created a unified Army out of the Revolutionary Forces encamped around Boston and New York, and named after the great George Washington, commander in chief. The Continental Army suffered a bitter winter of Valley Forge, found glory across the waters of the Delaware and seized victory from Cornwallis at Yorktown. Our Army manned the air, it rammed the ramparts, it took over airports, it did everything it had to do and at Ft. McHenry under the rocket’s red glare had nothing but victory. When dawn came, the star-spangled banner waved defiant.”

It's about the economy, stupid.

It's the thought that counts.

Many lives were lost, along with lots of baggage...

I wonder which of the 57 states had airports. Or, maybe they were in Guam, and they didn't send the military because it would tip the island over.

Exactly!  How about Biden's stumbling and bumbling over his words.

Speak in public often enough, and mistakes will happen.  Be it President Trump or President Obama.  Mistaking seaports for airports I get it.  Taking either to task for their 'mis-speaks' is purely a waste of your time.

Golly, a couple of rounds of whataboutism followed up by lvfritz claiming gaffes don't matter. I wonder where Fritz was during the Obama years when the thing about 57 states was posted in threads at least 100 times or more? Conservatives here thought one gaffe was a big deal then.

Trump makes so many gaffes a day it makes even Joe Biden blush.

In that small excerpt I posted above there were three gaffes.

1. The aforementioned taking the airports gaffe.

2.  The, "Our Army manned the air..." gaffe which also indicates the airports gaffe wasn't a simple slip of the tongue where he intended to say seaports.

3. The, "...and at Ft. McHenry under the rocket’s red glare..." the battle at Ft. McHenry took place during the war of 1812 not during the revolutionary war.  A war which he made a prior gaffe about during a phone conversation Canadian PM Justin Trudeau.  He blamed the Canadians for burning the White House in the War of 1812.

When someone Trump's age makes as many gaffes as Trump does regularly, they aren't simple slips of the tongue. They are a sign of dementia.

The fact that Mark places great value on Trumps verbal mistake tells us much about Mark.
