Will anyone say, "I'm voting for Harris because of Howard Stern's endorsement?" Nope. But it creates a "permission structure" for some undecided voters who already dislike Trump to make the affirmative step and vote with the Democrats.
So, his audience, largely younger, white, male, and blue-collar, is the perfect place to peel away some undecided voters who wouldn't ordinarily consider a Democrat, a liberal, or a black woman.
And Howard has given them permission.
Yeah, now two of those three remaining undecided voters will go for Harris. Net: +1.
There was an interesting piece in the New York Times today--behind a paywall, unfortunately, so I can't link to it--wherein eleven young (<25) "undecided" voters were asked about Trump and Harris. The group leaned Trump, and when asked why, spouted some amazingly nonsensical justifications and beliefs that were the direct opposite of the truth. Not just goofy opinions. Stuff that was objectively false.
What this gang believed to be true was kind of appalling. That they generally approved of Trump was disgusting. It made me want to advocate for raising the voting age to 26--the point at which one's brain reaches full maturity. These folks' brains clearly hadn't reached that state yet.
So I don't think Stern's endorsement means a hill of beans. As you imply, Stern's endorsement won't sway anyone in and of itself, and as far as serving as someone's pretext for voting for Harris...naah. It didn't take place on social media, so for Gen Bozo, it wasn't real.
In the other hand, that podcast or whatever it was with that Who's Your Daddy woman or whoever it was--THAT might have some real impact. Women being smarter than men, including members of Gen Bozo, they might be more inclined to tilt toward Harris. At least, that seems to have been the plan.
